I find it very amusing when locals complain about the costs of owning a car.<\/p>\n

The fantastic government cashflow machine that is the COE and ERP.<\/p>\n

I've yet to own a car, and I plan to do so in the future, but let me get this straight:<\/p>\n

‎1. The COE is not meant to encourage us to get a car, but to discourage it. So, if we're complaining about car ownership and its high prices, it's doing its job.<\/p>\n

2. If the government wants us to own cars, why is there the need for COE and the other taxes to make car ownership expensive in the first place?<\/p>\n

3. Part of the reason why buses are late is because of traffic. And what causes traffic jams? Too many cars? So clever!<\/p>\n

4. Have you noticed the jams lately? Why should the jams be encouraged by making it easier for us to own cars?<\/p>\n

Then you have the morons who wants to vote for a political party that will lower the costs of vehicle ownership. Guess who will they blame when the roads become even more congested than it already is?<\/p>\n
