Casio ProTrek PRW-3000T-7 Titanium Unboxing and Review
(Videos are further down)
After months of research and waiting, I finally got myself the PRW-3000 Titanium. Yeap, got the one with the titanium body and strap.
It’s much smaller because of a brand new sensor that features lower power consumption, measurements that are faster and more accurate, as well as fantastic reduction in size (only 5% of the previous sensor, or 20x smaller!). This explains the much smaller size of the PRW-3000 when compared to the older PRG-240/250/260 and PRW-2500.
I actually prefer the older PRW-2500/PRG-250 design, because it looks much more rugged and it had the moveable compass face, which is useful for keeping track of where north is. I also liked the older model’s screen because it shows more information without needing to change modes. The new model’s screen is simple and uncluttered though, so it’s not too bad for those of you who prefer just the time and date to be displayed.
Ultimately, I went with the new one because the smaller size is nice and the sensor improvement is quite telling. It also helps that taking measurements will not drain the battery as quickly, which was a minor issue with the older models.
Oh, btw, if you’re in Singapore, remember to find out where to buy legit, warranty covered Casio watches like the Pro Treks, G-Shocks and Edifice, cheap, by clicking here.
